Fiery

OKAY to start off with- I had to ask the wonderful, majestic-- Nami the jesus if she would allow a critique section be made on this piece. Because lets face it, this is nothing but a masterpiece. A girl goes missing for a month practically, and then she comes back with FIRE. AH HAH- But not a metaphorical fire, my baby's fire. You just paved the path with it for your big return. Its amazing to have you back again Annie, to see work just as awesome if not more awesome than ever before. Im not kidding, the composition, the way you've laid out the drawing itself is just completely awesome! I love the diagonal composition as well as it being set half and half- that itself is particularly awesome- it shows your understanding of composition and how you can implement into you work! Which you do without a hitch. To see the amount of work and time you put into initially thinking about how you were going to draw Liliana- I mean this is one of the first times I've seen you work more with angles and dynamic poses. To be fair- I've always loved your half sonic/ half anthro look, its absolutely gorgeous how it came out! Not to mention the your thick lineart! Which makes sense since its closer to the camera than being further away!
One of the elements I think she'll works well is the expression, how the light of the fire draws your attention to her face, your eyes go straight to her before they take in the whole piece. Its rather circular with the help of her coat being the other half of the circular composition! Also, another think to note is the way her body is positioned, the curve of her back, the tail and the hands are brilliant! I've always loved how you've drawn hands before in the past and to see you do thiem again is amazing! <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/c/c…" width="20" height="20" alt="" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="60" title="Clap"/> Also, Another note is that jacket- You may have just done one of the most difficult things of her taking off her jacket and throwing it in an ark like a mother trucking badass Annie- she is a mother trucking badass ;; Look at the way the fabric wrinkles under her fingers!? Look at the flow and the feel of it! It works so well and the shading too- it just gives it that swinging motion as she's taking it off in a 'take no crap' sort of pose.
The way you've drawn the back of her quills is amazing- how they fall down one on top of the other down her back is amazing. They just seem so rested and they move with the curver of her head. Even the shape of her bottom lip is beautiful, very pouty- I love the little add on as well! <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/l/l…" width="26" height="17" alt="" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="276" title="Love"/> I dont know how confusing drawing that tattoo on her arm must've been but I admit it would've been a long time considering how it even confused myself when I started to draw it <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/x/x…" width="15" height="15" alt="" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="93" title="XD"/> But to see it draw is just gorgeous- and the colour pallet too- MMMPPH ANNIE. THe colour pallet!

The colours are some of the best colours I've seen, they're so bright and captivating, instantly pulling you into the intense fiery scene of her throwing her coat. So warm and bright! I also noticed her shoulder blades- dear goodness the anatomy is just so on point! ;; That and the beautiful shading. The shading too is remarkable as you've had to work from many angles to make sure you represent the shading and lighting just right. I cant imagine how long it must've taken to have gotten all those points so right ;; it looks just absolutely terrific! <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/h/h…" width="15" height="13" alt="" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="357" title="Heart"/> One of the main things I have to love about this is the fire aswell- dear heavenly lord above the fire just calls to me. Your heavy use of brush strokes for the flames is simple amazing, you've worked up the colours on the flames to give the appearance of depth and the level of heat. That mixed with the embers float all around them leads to an astonishing piece that outright blows me away when I look at it!!
